A House of Peace. It was at the Houston Temple rededication that the words “A House of Peace” struck me. The members of the church in the Houston Temple district had been without a temple since Hurricane Harvey, and we were anxiously awaiting for our refuge from the world to reopen its doors. It had been a difficult 6 months not having access to the temple, and we all missed the constant peace we feel when we serve in the temple. During the dedication I felt that this phrase "A House of Peace" would need to be captured in a series of temple images. After the dedication, I went home to research the phrase, and found that the temple is referred to as “A House of Peace” in many of the dedicatory prayers.
When the storms and strife of life become daunting, we can always get away from it in the temple, A House of Peace.
